We have yet to see the best of Bojan.

Bojan Krkic, the big start of Catalonia’s win against Honduras on Tuesday has told a press conference that such a good performance was a massive boost to his confidence.

“We have yet to see the best of Bojan” he said, The situation with Catalonia is different to Barça. Barça has the best players in the world at a historic time. I’m not complaining. It is hard to get chances, that’s why I’m working so hard”. But although he does not feel under pressure at Barça, he does feel he needs a more regular place to be able to show us what he can really do.

Great fun

Against Honduras, he not only scored twice, but also set up two more goals. “I enjoyed myself. It is some time since I have had such fun on the pitch. I hope it helps me relax and gain confidence for 2011” he said.

Christmas illness

It was a great way to bounce back for Bojan after he “didn’t have the best of holidays. I didn’t really have a holiday, I had a throat infection and spent four days housebound”.

Understanding Afellay

Bojan was also asked about Ibrahim Afellay, who has his first FC Barcelona training session on Wednesday. “I have said hello, but we can’t speak to each other because I don’t speak English or French” … But I do know that he’s a good player, and anybody like him is more than welcome here”.

“We all agree with the AFE”
As for the controversy between the Spanish Federation and the Spanish Players’ Association (AFE), Bojan said he supports his colleagues. “We are not here to say whether we’ll play or not. We support one party, which is the AFE, and we’re waiting to see what they decide.” But what do the players think? “I haven’t spoken to people one by one, but I have spoken to four or five of them and they agree that it would be best to play on the 3rd”. As things currently stand, Barça and Levante will play on the 2nd at 18.00.
