Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta has backed youngster Bojan Krkic to come of age and has hailed the Spanish striker's contribution to the team.
Speaking to Four-Four-Two, the Spain international said he felt the young striker is ready to make a big impact at the Catalan club despite not playing every match for the Spanish champions.
“He's always smiling even when he’s not happy, he’s [Bojan] become an important player for Barca.
“He may not play every week, but he contributes to the team, with goals, runs and crosses. He’d prefer to play central, but he does well on the left or right. Another example of Barca promoting their talent.”
The World Cup winner also revealed that goalkeeper Victor Valdes is his best friend at the club.
“[Victor Valdes is] my best friend in the team – we played in the youth and B teams together,” explained Iniesta. “We travelled all around Spain on a coach and now we travel all around the world on planes.
“He's loud, funny, crazy and very animated. If he wasn’t Spanish, he’d be a top international ‘keeper. There is no better shot stopper. Last season was his best."
